Brown University Applied DEI Certificate Offerings

Brown University has several applied DEI offerings upcoming, with a one-hour course on December 5, 2023, and a six-week course starting February 29, 2024.

As a part of the Certificate in Applied DEI Strategies program, "Conscious Inclusion: How to Address and Overcome Implicit Bias" will be offered on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. Eastern. Led by Jarvis Sam, this session will show how you can overcome the implicit bias that we all have to make our workplaces and teams as inclusive as possible.

Brown’s Certificate in Applied DEI Strategies is a six-week online program that equips you with practical tools to foster a more diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace. This program is led by Jarvis Sam, Professor of the Practice at Brown University, founder of the Rainbow Disruption and former Chief Diversity Officer of Nike. Focus will be given to the application of DEI strategies in order to improve employee engagement and culture, increase productivity and drive profits. The next six-week online session of this program begins February 29, 2024.
